FREMONT - Wauneta P. Cooper, 97, of Fremont died June 16, 2012, in Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Angola. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Nevada Mills Methodist Church. She was born Jan. 12, 1915, in Angola to Richard L. and Blanche M. (Cory) Wells. She married Percy J. Cooper on Aug. 1, 1934.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Wendell Burk of Eaton Rapids, Mich., and Barbara and Estel Spangle of Orland; two sisters, Violet Adams of Angola and Mary Cronkwright of Granada Hills, Calif.; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on April 29, 2010; one granddaughter; three brothers; and three sisters. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jamestown Cemetery, Steuben County, with the Rev. Duane Stidham officiating. Memorials are to the family in care of Barbara E. Spangle.
