Mary June Wells was born on June 1, 1919 at her home in Lake James, Indiana to parents May Blanche (Corey) Wells and Richard Loton Wells.
She graduated from Angola High School. She married Ray Cronkwright on June 9, 1945. Ray and Mary lived briefly in New York and later returned to Fort Wayne. On June 5, 1951 daughter, Bonnie Jane was born. In 1963, Ray's work took them to Granada Hills California. Ray and Mary were active in church and they served Hillcrest Christian Church and School for over 50 years. Mary received many awards for her canning of fruits and jellies.
Some of her favorite hobbies included sewing, baking, gardening, fishing, boating and swimming.
Mrs. Cronkwright is survived by her sister Violet Adams, Nevada Mills, IN., husband Ray, her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Bob Weatherman of Acton CA. and two grandson's Paul and Scott Weatherman and one great grandson , Korbin Weatherman and one great granddaughter, Adyson. Weatherman She is preceded in death by her three brothers and four sisters.
A graveside service will be conducted at Jamestown Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana, Tuesday April 7th at 11:00 AM, with Bill Romans, Minister, officiating. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
A memorial service will be held later this month in Granada Hills CA.
