J.H. BROOKS DIES SUDDENLY AT HOME NORTH OF RENICK.
Funeral services for John Henry Brooks, 67, who died suddenly Saturday afternoon at his home, one mile north of Renick, were held at 11 o'clock this morning in the Snow Funeral Home. Services were conducted by the Rev. E.Y. Keiter of Jefferson City, and burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Mr. Brooks had been in failing health for the last year, but his death was unexpected. He died while sitting in a chair in his home.
He was a member of the Renick Methodist Church, which he joined at the age of 20 years. Since last May he had been employed in the cutting room of the local plant of the Brown Shoe Company.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. L.T. Slight and Mrs. A. E. Swarm. both of Kansas City; a son, Abner Brooks of Kansas City; eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Amos Brown, east of Moberly; and five brothers, George of Kansas City, Jim Brooks of Slater, Will Brooks of Moberly, Grover Brooks of Hannibal and Allen Brooks of Salisbury.
