She married Edward Marcin in 1943 and was widowed in 1979. During World War II she handled payroll at a federal government shipyard in Kearney, New Jersey. She spent twenty years as the manager of a union's retirement and welfare fund. The job she loved the most, though, was being a special education instructional aide working with children who had been abused or were from drug-addicted families. Mrs. Marcin worked in this capacity for fourteen years at a school in Mount Olive, New Jersey. She was the mother of daughters Elizabeth Kemmerer and Carole O'Hare. At the time of her death, Mrs. Marcin was a 79-year old retiree living in Mount Olive, New Jersey. She was flying to California to live with her younger daughter.
