In 1942, Edward's WWII draft registration card records that he was living at 33 South 43rd St, in Irvington, NJ. He listed his sister, Helen (Marcin) Yureko, at 218 Prospect Ave., NJ as the person who will always know his address, and his employer as Allen N. Spooner, Pier 11, North River, NY.
In 1943, Edward married Hildegarde "Hilda" Zill, daughter of Peter G. Zill and Elizabeth Zill. In 1950, Edward and Hildegarde and their 4-year-old daughter Elizabeth were living in Irvington, NJ with Hildegarde's parents, Peter and Elizabeth Zill.
By 1951, Edward was working for the Irvington Police force and retired in 1976.
Edward passed away on February 8, 1979 in Irvington, NJ. He was survived by his wife, Hilda; daughters Elizabeth and Carole; one granddaughter; and sisters Helen Yurecko and Theresa Baran.
A funeral mass was held on February 11, 1979 at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Irvington, NJ. Funeral services were held on February 12, 1979 at The Funeral Apartments, George Ahr & Son, 700 Nye Ave., Irvington, NJ and burial was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, Morris County, NJ.
