WALTER S. BRISTOW
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Sept. 20, 1994, in Mt. View Cemetery in Oregon City.
He was born Aug. 25, 1897, in Grassy Cove, Tenn.
He moved to Oregon City in 1919. Mr. Bristow worked as an ammunitions handler leadman at the Umatilla Army Depot from mid-1940's until approximately 1970.
Survivors include his sons, Walter S., Jr. of Gulf Port, Miss., and Oliver C. of Eagle Creek; daughters, Barbara Sturges of Warrenton and Patricia Sonsteng of Tacoma; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and, 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Rememberances: a favorite charity.
