Masonic rites were conducted. Mr. Dickerson was a past master of Mason City lodge, No. 170 A.F. & A.M. having been a member since Jan. 31, 1921.
John Amsberry, Mrs. Alice Fahrenbacker and Mrs. Petra Whitehead sang, accompanied by Mrs. Vern Wieland.
Pallbearers were Otis Wilson, Charley Martin, Vern Wieland, Ed Hiser, Glen Smith and Martin Madsen. Burial was in the Litchfield cemetery.
Mr. Dickerson died Nov. 15 at his farm home after a lingering illness. He was born at Falls City, Nebraska Sept. 5, 1880 to Albert and Anna Dickerson.
At the age of four, his parents moved to Sherman County where he grew to manhood on a farm near Litchfield.
On April 5, 1904 he was married to Audie Foster in Loup City. To this union were born two daughters who survive him. The Dickersons farmed near his parents for two years and then moved to their own place in Custer County where they have resided for the past forty-eight years. Their Golden wedding anniversary was observed in April of this year.
He was active in community and civic affairs.
Survivors are his wife, Audie, Litchfield, two daughters, Mrs. Marie Holm, Mason City, Mrs. Arlie Saum, Litchfield; two brothers, Charlie Dickerson, Broken Bow, Ernest Dickerson, Billings Montana. Also six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Relatives from out of town to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. George Boecking, Mr. and Mrs. Charley Foster, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Foster and Larry and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Wilson and family of Riverton, Wyo., Charlie Dickerson of Broken Bow; John Foster of Grand Island; Mrs. Pearl Mortensen of Ravenna; Mrs. Blanche Dickerson, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reier and Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Dickerson of Sumner; Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ernest, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Garmen, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pair and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Pair and family of Mankato, Kansas; Mrs. Bessie Simenton of Ansley.
