Alyda Rezelman, 77, of Sioux Center died Monday in a hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 7 in the First Reformed Church in Sioux Center. The Rev. Donald Barnes and the Rev. Harold Lenters officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Rezelman, the former Alyda Vande Brake, was born April 7, 1909, in Sioux Center and attended rural school.
She married Arie A. Punt Feb. 17, 1932, at Sioux Center. They lived in rural Maurice until 1950 and near Carmel until 1960 when they retired to Sioux Center. Mr. Punt died Dec. 15, 1975.
She married the Rev. Gerrit Rezelman May 12, 1977, in Sioux Center.
Mrs. Rezelman was a member of First Reformed Church of Sioux Center, Priscilla Circle, Guild, Prayer Warriors, Golden Age Club and Homemakers Club.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Willard Punt of Orange City and the Rev. Roger Punt, of Steen, Minn; four daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Adelaide) DeJong of Hull, Mrs. Willard (Arlene) Boscaljon of Sanborn, Mrs. Kenneth (Hendrene) Kats of Rock Valley, and Mrs. Ronald (Margaret) Kooistra of Sioux Center; four step daughters, Mrs. Russell E. (Marie) Stadt of Grand Rapids, Mich., Mrs. Agnes M. Languis of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Howard (Esther) Den Hartog of Mount Pleasant, Utah, and Mrs. Ruth Popescu of Salt Lake City, Utah; 20 grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren and two step greatgrandchildren.
