LaNell was born on January 31, 1927 in Round Rock, Texas to Herman John Priem and Nellie May Handsel Priem. She grew up in Central Texas and married Robert Victor Wasaff on March 7, 1946 in Bexar County, Texas. LaNell L. Wasaff of Longmont died December 23, at Hospice CareCenter, Louisville. She was 84.

The Wasaff family moved to a number of communities in the west, including Idaho Falls, Idaho and Salt Lake City. In 1958, they settled in Broomfield where they would reside for better part of her life.
LaNell was a Witness for Jehovah. She was active in Bible study.
Preceding her in death are her parents, and her husband. Surviving is her son Robert V. Wasaff Jr. of Williamsport, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren Lori Houston of Longmont; Victor (Margaret Skokan) Ward of Denver; Candi Schipper of Lincoln, California; and Tanya Wasaff of Williamsport, Pennsylvania; and 6 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 30 at Louisville Cemetery. In case of inclement weather, services will be held at Howe Mortuary., 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, CO.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah Witnesses, 2218 17th Avenue, Longmont, CO 80501 or Hospice of Boulder and Broomfield Counties, 2594 Trailridge Drive East, Suite A, Lafayette, CO 80026.
