Mrs. Rebecca Ames, 83, died early Monday morning at the home of her son, Clarence J. Spicer. She had been in poor health for some time.

She is survived by two sons, Mr. Spicer of this place and Earl Ames of North Syracuse, also six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The funeral was held at the Church of Christ on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. W.C. Chapman of Harrisville officiating. Burial in Richland cemetery.

Mrs. Rebecca Spicer Ames, 83, widow of Walter Ames, died at the home of her son, Clarence Spicer, at Richland, Monday morning, October 23, 1944. She was born in 1881, on Wolf Island, daughter of Louis and Lucretia Bowman McClary, and was a member of the Church of Christ, Richland.

Besides her son, Clarence, she is survived by another son, Earl Ames, of Syracuse.

The funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the Spicer home and at the Church of Christ at 2 p.m. Burial was in Richland cemetery
