According to Scott at the Tioga County Historical Society, most of the stones in the pile came from the original Free cemetery that was in Knoxville but was covered over for a park. Though some stones in this pile may belong to people buried in Riverside, the majority are from Free Cemt. The people are still buried in Free but the stones are in Riverside.
