Mrs. Lillian Ashby Carroll Bullington, 77, of 1311 Guest St., died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at Moses Cone Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point, officiated by the Rev. Bob Metters. Entombment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Bullington was born Nov. 3, 1922, in Stokes County, a daughter of Jesse James and Jettie Mabe Bullington. She had been a resident of Greensboro for the last 24 years and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener and was a homemaker.

On Jan. 17, 1976, she was married to Mr. James "Jim" Bullington who survives of the home. Also surviving are four sons, Charles Carroll of Kernersville, David Carroll of Jamestown, Malcolm Carroll of Apalachicola, Fla., and Timothy Carroll of Fayetteville; stepson, Roger Bullington of Zepher Hills, Fla.; stepdaughter, Diana Lovette of Charlotte; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; a brother, Gurney "Buck" Ashby of Sophia.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, at the funeral home.
