He married Anita Louise Jordan on 3 Oct. 1962; per their joint headstone. She was the daughter of William Curtis Jordan and Dora Magdaline Johnston Jordan; in accordance with the back of her headstone marker.

Obituary

Services for Donald Ray Arnold, of McCall Creek, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, at Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church in McCall Creek with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. Elders Luke Addison, Robert Byrd and Jerry Britt will officiate.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home, and on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Mr. Arnold, 71, died Dec. 25, 2007, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was born on Jan. 9, 1936, to Hardy Arnold and Annie Wooten Arnold.

He was retired. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a loving and devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He was a faithful member of Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church and was strong in the faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his three brothers and five sisters.

Survivors are his wife, Anita Jordan Arnold; his son and daughter-in-law, Steven Ray and Dawana Arnold, of Summit; his daughters and son-in-law, Donna and Mike Cloud, of Brandon, and LeAnn Bass, of McCall Creek; his grandchildren, Shelby, Hanna and Haley Arnold, all of Summit, and Brett and Jordan Cloud, of Brandon, and their baby, Lane Cloud, due in March 2008; his stepgrandson, Mitch Cloud, of Brookhaven; his sisters, Barbara King, of Gonzales, La., Margaret Brown, of Booneville, N.C., and Louise Sweeney, of Brookhaven.

Pallbearers are Mike Arnold, Jerry Arnold, Lanny Arnold, Curt Spring, Charles Spring and Johnny Parsons.

Honorary pallbearers are James Parsons, Roger Lewis, D.C. Griffin and Tom Pickett.
