Sylvester was born, on November 11, 1934, in Mellen, Wisconsin, the son of John and Margaret (Develski) Otto. He graduated from Mellen High School and served with U.S. Army.
Sylvester worked for Chrysler Motors for over 30 years. He enjoyed fixing things, antiques and old cars.
Survivors include: his two brothers: Daniel (Dorothy) Otto, of Mellen; and Alvin (Sandra) Otto of Ashland; his sister, Margaret (Bill) Dahl, of Ashland; many nieces and nephews.
Sylvester was preceded in death by: his daughter, Vicky Otto; his parents, John and Margaret Otto; his brothers: George and John Otto; and his sister Kathryn Otto.
A gathering, for family and friends, will be held at the Congregational United Church of Christ, in Mellen, beginning at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2011, and continuing until the hour of the service.
A memorial service, for Sylvester will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Congregational United Church of Christ, in Mellen. Pastor James Imse will officiate. Military honors will be provided by Copper Falls VFW Post #2273, of Mellen.
nterment, in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Highbridge, Wisconsin, will follow the service.
