Born to Joseph and Maude Leona (Borden) Montague. Moved with his family to Washington state about 1907 where they settled in Elbe. He married Inez Ann Myers 31 Jan 1928. They had four children. Charlie and his brother Leroy married two sisters, Inez Anne and Doris Marie Myers.
