Thomas D. Anderson was born October 11, 1894 in Gladewater, Texas (Gregg County), son of Isaac Anderson (1860-1919) and Pauline Christian (1865-1926).

Thomas had seven older siblings: Elliot Edward Anderson (1881-1956). Georgia Anderson (1883-1973), Earris Alexander Anderson (1884-1961), Emmitt Anderson (1886-1977), Fred Doug Anderson (1888- ), Willie D. Anderson Sr. (1890-1971), and Lillie D. Anderson (1890-1981).

The 1900 Federal Census for Pine View, Texas (Gregg County) shows Thomas D. Anderson, age 7, born November 1892 in Texas; living with his father, Isaac Anderson, a farmer, age 39, born July 1860 in Texas; and his mother, Pauline, age 35, born February 1865 in Texas. May Anna died July 23, 1963 in Denison, Texas (Grayson County) and was buried there in the Oakwood Cemetery. Tom died September 19, 1966 in Denison and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery beside his wife.
