Funeral services were Tuesday, May 29, at St. James Catholic Church for Edward L. Paluck, age 50, of McMinnville with interment at St. James Cemetery. Mr. Paluck died May 23 near Arcata, Calif. He was born May 17, 1923 at Belfield, N.Dak., the son of Michael and Agnes Marie Evoniuk Paluck.

The family moved to Portland when he was eight years old. In 1943 he entered the Army and served with the Rangers overseas. Following the war in 1946, he lived in Yamhill for two years before moving to Alaska where he resided until 1951. Since that time he lived in Yamhill County and worked in the woods. At the time of his death he was logging in Humboldt County out of Arcata, Calif. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Agnes Paluck of McMinnville; two brothers, Rudolph and Bernard, both of Carlton; two sisters, Sister Elaine Paluck of Merrill, Wisc., and Mrs. Antoinette Williams of McMinnville.
