The funeral liturgy for Rudolph John "Rudy" Paluck of Meadview, Ariz., was held this morning in St. James Catholic Church, McMinnville, with the Rev. Terry O'Connell officiating.

Interment was in St. James Catholic Cemetery, McMinnville.

Mr. Paluck, a former resident of Carlton and McMinnville, died Dec. 18, 2001, in Henderson, Nev. He was 76.

He was born Feb. 26, 1925, in Belfield, N.D., the son of Michael and Agnes Evonuk Paluck. He moved to Oregon as a child and was educated in Springfield and Portland. He graduated from high school in Portland. He joined the Navy and served as a Seabee in a construction battalion in the Pacific. After completing his military service, he worked as a lumberman.

He and Patricia Poole were married in California in 1950.

The couple lived in Carlton and McMinnville. In 1972 he moved to Alaska, where he worked as an engineer on the pipeline until he retired

He and Geraldine "Gerri" Milton were married in Alaska in 1979.

In 1994, the couple moved to Arizona, near Lake Mead. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jan Williams of Portland; five sons, Mark Paluck and Randy Paluck, both of Meadview, Bob Paluck of Orlan, Calif., David Paluck of Spokane, Wash., and Michael Paluck of Chico, Calif.; a sister, Elaine Robinson of McMinnville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Roger Paluck, a sister and two brothers.
