Obituary Clarence Mattice
Loves Park, Clarnece Mattice, 78, died Tuesday night at the River Bluff Nursing Home, Home, Rockford, after a lengthy illness.
He was born September 17, 1893, in Austin, MN. He lived in Roscoe 14 years and was married to May Haight, who died March 11, 1962. A shipping clerk at Fish Oven Co., Beloit, for 18 years, he retired in 1957.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Mrs. Alta Stokes of Decatur, Ill., and Mrs. Grace Merrimen of Rockton; four stepsons, Vernon Allen and George Allen, both of Beloit, Delbert Allen of South Beloit and Thomas Allen of Rockford; one brother, Albert Mattice of Minneapolis, Minn.; one sister, Mrs. L. Minto of Missoula, Mont.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, Ill., the Rev. Robert Ellison, associate pastor of the First Church of the Open Bible officiating. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
