Mabel C. Dobbins, 86, of Shirleysburg, R.D. 1, died at 11:17 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 1991, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital.
She was born September 4, 1904, in Cromwell Township, the daughter of Samuel and Martha (Felmlee) Bolinger. She was first married to Hayes Walter who died July 5, 1956. Her second marriage was to Wiley Dobbins who died February 17, 1973.
Surviving are two brothers, Foster C. Bollinger of Orbisona and Shade R. Bolinger of New Cumbeland. One brother preceded her in death. A number of nieces and nephews survive.
Ms. Dobbins was a member of the Orbisonia United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Shirleysburg Grange No. 119. She was once employed as a nurse aide for the Masonic Home at Elizabethtown.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 1991, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia. The Rev. Tina Ness will officiate. Interment will be made in Douglas Cemetery, Shirleysburg, R.D.
Friends will be received at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday.
The Shirleysburg Grange will hold a memorial service at the funeral home at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
