Daughter of Jeremiah Colvin and Ruth Tucker.
.
Wife of Stukely Thornton whom she married 27 Feb 1763 in Scituate, Providence Co., RI; mother of four known children: James Thornton/Thorington, Lydia [Thornton] Parker and Stukely Thornton, Jr. Several other as yet unidentified Thornton children are possible.
.
Annah's eldest son was David Niles, Sr., born 6 Dec 1759 in Scituate [father unknown].
__________

Note: Annah's precise death date is not known. But it appears that she was living through the 1820 census in Ira, VT, in the household of her son Stukely Thornton, Jr. She is presumed to have been buried here in the Ames Cemetery, which is on the Ira town border near the Thornton farm. A field stone inscribed "A. T. a 90" is thought to mark her grave. (When photographed in 2014 it was beneath ground level and nearly engulfed by a large tree.)
.
There are many eroded field stones marking graves in this cemetery, so perhaps her husband is also buried here. But there is no record of his burial and no stone with identifiable markings to designate his grave.
