Funeral services were held Wednesday morning for Mrs. Frances Kubicek, 76, 924 E. Vine St., who passed away Sunday morning at the City Hospital.

Services Wednesday will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where the requiem Mass will be sung at 10 a. m., with interment to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Brick Funeral Home on Austin Rd. after 3 today, with Rosary to be recited there at 8 tonight.

The former Frances Blazek was born May 9, 1888. She married Frank June 2, 1908. She was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away Sept. 11, 1963.

Surviving are one son, Victor, of Owatonna; and two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Georgia) Wilkie of Austin, and Mrs. George (Frances) Krahulec of Owatonna. Also surviving are five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two sisters: Miss Rose J. Blazek of Owatonna and Mrs. Beatrice Moravec of Portland, Ore.

She was born in Dolni Dobrouc, County of Usti nad Orlici, Bohemia. As a child she came to the US with her parents and three younger sisters via Ellis Island, but all three of her sisters died of typhoid on the ship.
