LULA MAE STOWE--70:
died early today [5-24] in Trumbull Memorial Hosp. She was born 25 May 1901 in Kinsman, a dau of Huber & Ida Artman Tidd. On 16 Jul 1918, she married John I Stowe, who died 3 Apr 1961. A resident here since 1918, she was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church; was a former officer & active member of the Sightless Club. She was one of the original school crossing guards & served for 12 years.
Surviviors include 5 sons: Harry, Hubert, John, Guy-all of Warren; James-Niles; daus: Virginia (sp-John) Shetler-Warren; Helen (sp-Norman) Root-Hiram; Viola Marvola-Youngstown; Rose-mary (sp-Dale) Fickes-Uniontown; 2 sis: Dorothy Hershelman-ConneautLake PA; Gladys Regas-Chicago IL; 2 bros: James & Wilson Tidd-both Meadville; 26 grandchildren & 9 gr-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday afternoon [5-26] at the McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Burial Park.
