Angie was born February 6th, 1928, in Abilene to the late John and Helen Dres. As teenagers, both parents had immigrated to the United States from Greece and Angie was very proud of her Greek heritage. She was baptized in the Greek Orthodox Church at an early age. She graduated from Abilene High School in 1945, attended Hardin Simmons University where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She married Joe Alton Bullock in 1953, and they had three sons and were married for 13 years. Angie worked in the retail business most of her life, starting as a teenager in her parent's stores. The Paramount Confectionary and The World News Stand on Pine Street. She opened the Minute Mart convince store on Grape Street and went on to work at numerous businesses, including Gibson's and Timex before retiring from Wal-Mart in 2004. She had many friends she met while working in these businesses and continued these friendships after she retired. Angie was a Dallas Cowboy fan and followed the team every season. She had a soft spot for animals and especially loved her pet Blue Heeler, "Kojack". Angie was a loving mother, friend and was gracious and welcoming to everyone. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh, especially at herself. Angie loved the holidays and loved to visit and share meals with family and friends. She especially enjoyed Greek food.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Dres, also known as Mama and Papa John; her sister, Melba Dres Durkee; and a son, Bradley Bullock.
Angie is survived by her two sons, Mark Bullock and Joe Bullock and his wife, Paula; a granddaughter, Casey Francis and her husband, Jared; a niece, Karen Dres; a great niece, Nicole Nunez and her husband, E.J. and their children, Nicolas and Delani; great niece, Noel Gonzales and her husband, James.
