Mr. Cox died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 10, 1893 in Tecumseh, Indian Territory. Mr. Cox moved to the McLoud area in 1908 where he farmed on land homesteaded by his parent. He moved to his present home in McLoud about eight years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Cox, of the home; one son, Bert R. Cox Jr., Oklahoma City; six daughters, Mrs. Clara Parker, Hickory Flats, Miss.; Mrs. Ruth Sanders, Albuquerque, N.M.; Mrs. Mary Cornwell, Walnut Creek, Calif.; Mrs. Margaret Patrick, El Reno; Mrs. Jean Hull, Meeker; Mrs. Evelyn Long, Del City; 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
