John Carson Smart's grave marker, was ordered in Jan of 2001 by Phillip Smart of York, SC. It was ordered by Phillip Smart, through the US Dept of Veterans Affairs Memorial Program in Washington, DC.

John C. Smart married Malinda Dulcena Walker (B. 1846).
Both were from the Rutherford Co. area of NC. Dulcena has been listed as Malinda Dulcena, Dulcina, Sina, but I have not confirmed a death date or burial record for her. I suspect she may be buried at Union in York, with John.
