Fred Neal Power, 63, of Beallsville, died Wednesday, Feb 11, 1953, at 6:35 p.m. after an illness of a week of a heart ailment. He died in Washington Hospital.
He was born in Centerville, Oct 4, 1889.
Mr. Power was a member of the Beallsville IOOF lodge 832, having been a member for 41 years. He served as secretary of the lodge for a number of years.
He was member of UMWA Local 2399, of Vesta Four Mine, Jones and Laughlin Steel Company, where he was employed as a blacksmith. He retired three years ago.
He is survived by the following sons and daughters; Mrs. Edith Rankin, of Fredericktown, R.D.; Ralph Power, of Detroit, Mich.; Neal Power, of Beallsville; Jack Power, of Marianna, R.D.1; Norman Power, of Scenery Hill, R.D.1; Mrs. Mabel Markovitch, of Crescent Heights; Mrs. Dale Galeska, Mrs. Elaine Banko, Denton Power, and Mrs. Blanche Hartley, all of Beallsville; Laura V. Power, at home; a brother, Clinton Power, of Fredericktown, R.D. and 19 grandchildren.
