Mary A. Yorty, 88, formerly of Grantville, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at her home. She was the wife of the late Henry H. Yorty. Born in Bellegrove, on February 6, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Mamie Boyer Herr. She retired from the M.S. Hershey Medical Center where she had worked as a cook. Mary attended the Lebanon God's Missionary Church. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth L. and his wife, Connie Yorty of Mechanicsburg, Donald H. and his wife, Victoria Yorty of Grantville, and Timothy R. and his wife, Ann Yorty of Martinsburg, W.Va.; a brother, Ross Herr, Jr. of Palmyra; her sister, Betty Rhoad of Bellegrove; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Allen; daughters, Darlene Faye and Crystal Ann; brothers, Russell, Lloyd, Sterling, Lester and Glenn Herr and her sister Ruth Mumma. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012, at 12 Noon at the God's Missionary Church, 2127 Hill St., Lebanon. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Salem Evangelical Cemetery, Ono. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church. Published in Lebanon Daily News on June 8, 2012 .
