STERLING—Albert Meints, 89, Sterling, died in a Tecumseh care center on Thursday, Jan. 28.
Born Oct. 12, 1892, rural Pickrell. Lived In Sterling vicinity most of life. Farmed south of Sterling for many years. Former barber In Vesta. Member, St. John American Lutheran Church, Sterling.
Survivors: sons, Melvin Meints of Sterling and Dale Meints of Klamath Falls, Ore.; daughter, Mrs. Russell (Mary Lou) Lairmore, Lincoln; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Fannie Suete and Margaret Staley, both of Olathe, Kan. Preceded in death by wife.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, St. John American Lutheran Church, Sterling, Pastor Bruce Johnson. Burial, Sterling Cemetery. Body in state at church one hour preceding service. Memorial to St. John American Lutheran Church, Sterling, with Zink Mortuary, Sterling, in charge. Family prayer service: 1:45 p.m. Saturday, basement of St. John American Lutheran Church.
