Lucille Rowe Wintch, age 61, was killed in an automobile accident, March 30, 1992. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and teacher who will be greatly missed.
She was born February 18, 1931 in Castledale, Utah, to Glen A. and Maggie Barton Rowe. She graduated from BYU in 1953. She married Arden Wintch, in Salt Lake LDS Temple, August 18, 1955.She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Lori Stander, Elyse Pearmain and sons-in-law, Brad Charon and Kenny Pearmain; three grandchildren, Nathan Stander, Shylene Charon, Lucas Charon; mother; three sisters, Derlys Bush, Ann Rowe, Kathy Rowe (Des Moines, Iowa) and two brothers Del Rowe (Bountiful) and Bart Rowe (Tulsa, Oklahoma). She is preceded in death by her daughter, Corinne Charon and son-in-law, Harold Stander.
throughout her life she was actively involved in the LDS Church. She served as Young Women's President, Primary chorister, Roadshow coordinator, Relief Society instructor, wrote and directed many special programs. She willingly shared her many talents in music, writing and speech. Lucille had a great love and deep understanding of the gospel. Through her beautiful Relief Society lessons she was able to inspire many to strive to live better.
She was an outstanding educator for 31 years and taught at Carbon Jr. College, West High and Granite High School, where she taught English, Creative Writing, and was the advisor of the Granitian Yearbook. For 13 years the publications received superior ratings from the national yearbook comittee.
She loved teaching and believed in the worth of each individual student.
Lucille was fully devoted to her family. She was caring, loving and brought joy into the lives of many. Her life was a true example of womanhood. She will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 1992, at the Millcreek Stake Center, 4220 South 420 East. Friends may call Wednesday, 6 to 9 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State and Thursday, 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Mt. View Memorial Estates.
