OBITUARY
Maggie Barton Rowe, 95, died Oct. 29, 2001 in Salt Lake City.

She was born Feb. 12, 1906 in Manti, Utah to Alexander Quirk Barton and Katie Belle Hall Barton.

A star on life's stage, she shone brightly through-out her life in many capacities-as a mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She married her eternal companion, Glen A. Rowe, June 6, 1928 in the Manti, Temple. He preceded her in death March 7, 1957.

Her talents were recognized very early in her life. She had great talent in dramatics. This talent enriched the life of her family and later her students at Snow College.

Service has been of prime importance in her life. She served her family, community, church, and her fellow man. During her years as Director of Volunteers at Primary Children's Hospital, she gave countless hours of service as well as initiating the Foster Grandparents program, snack bar, and gift shop. Her service extended to the U of U Medical Center where she gave over 4,000 hours.

Above all she loved her family. Her children are Derilys (Don) Bush, Lucille (Arden) Wintch, G. Barton (Jean) Rowe, Del B. (Diane) Rowe, Anne Rowe, Kathleen Cornelius, and dear friend Jim Meyer.

She is preceded in death by Lucille and four grandchildren.

Her beautiful life is an inspiration and source of strength. Her light will shine forever. We love you dear, dear mother.

Her family expresses thanks to those who have been her caregivers. Especially Hospice, Derilys, and Anne.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 2, 2001 at 12 noon at the Bonneville Ward, 1535 E. Bonneview Drive, where friends may call from 10-11:45 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
