Carol Ellsworth Hickenlooper passed away Sunday July 25, 2004. She was born April 5, 1921 to Mary Tempest and Lewis Norman Ellsworth in Salt Lake City. She married Franklin Terry Hickenlooper on March 11, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. She devoted her life to her husband, children and church. Carol loved her flowers and gardening. She enjoyed genealogy and reading. She and Franklin are the parents of eight children. She is survived by all eight of her children: Linda (George) Burtenshaw Alameda, CA; Marylin (George) Collard West Jordan, UT; Ann (Dennis) Tolley Mapleton, UT; Franklin Timothy (Pat) Hickenlooper, Eagle, ID; James Ellsworth (Sue) Hickenlooper, Algonguin, IL; Gary Norman (Debbie) Hickenlooper Colorado Springs, CO; Margaret (Steve) Rosenberger, Monterey, CA; Dean Wallace (Kerry) Hickenlooper Darien, IL; 31 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her loving husband Franklin. Funeral services held Friday July 30, 2004 at the West Jordan 19th Ward 2666 W. 7000 S. Interment, Riverton City Cemetery.
