William (Bill) McKay

WILLIAM (BILL) McKAY, 89, of Missouri, Texas expired on Friday March 23, 2007. Born in Athens, Texas on June 13, 1917. Survived by loving wife Maurine, son, Michael McKay and wife Kathy of Boerne, Texas. Grandchildren, Amy Zost of Missouri City, Texas, Erik McKay of Missouri City, Texas, sister Kaye Blew of Athens Texas, and numerous nephews, nieces, and great grandchildren. Bill graduated from Athens High School, attended Southern Methodist University, and Brontley School of business. He served in World War II as a captain in the 14Th Armored Division,Signal Corp under the command of General George Patton. He was employed by the Western Electric Company (now AT&T) for 39 years. Bill was a member of the First Methodist Church of Missouri City, Texas. Bill received his Masters degree in Masonry from Highland Park Masonic Lodge in Dallas, Texas. Memorial services will be held at the First Methodist Church in Missouri City, Texas on Monday, March 26, 2007 at 3:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family in their home after the services.
