Martha Ardelia "Alice" Snodgrass - Daughter of Christian Hooser Snodgrass and Sarah Catherine Locklin.

Sister of Joseph Zachary and S C Snodgrass.

Half Sister of Margaret Ann Snodgrass by her father's 2nd marriage to Martha A Merchant.

Half Sister of Edmund Daniel, Lewis Arthur, Florence Isabell, Mary Ellender, George William and Charles Aaron Snodgrass by her father's 3rd marriage to Mary Ann Robbins.

Alice married, 23 Dec 1875 in Milam Co., TX, John H Leslie.

Mother of Frederic J, Mary Katherine "Kate" Edmond Eugene, Frank Charles, George Hood, Willie O, Effie Barbara, Lewis Wayne, David, T B "Tobie" and Francis Wilmot "Ted" Leslie. In the 1900 Taylor Co., TX Census, Alice is enumerated to have had 10 children, 7 living. In the 1910 Nolan Co., TX Census, Alice is enumerated as having had 11 children, 8 living. To date, the only child I don't have a death date and burial location is David. He is thought to have been born about Jan 1896 and died before the 1900 Taylor Co., TX Census.

Granddaughter of Joseph R Snodgrass & Sarah Hooser and William Lawson Locklin Sr & Nancy Mercer.

Note: Alice's date of death is not known at this time. She was last known to be enumerated in the 1910 Nolan Co., TX Census. It is assumed that she died sometime between 1910 and 1914 as her husband, John H Leslie, was remarried in the 1920 Tarrant Co., TX Census with a children by his 2nd wife - the oldest age 5.

Update - February 8, 2017:
Death Place and Burial Info Received from FindAGrave Contributor, Jerry Flook (#48889319), Jan. 6, 2017 and Feb. 8, 2017, as follows:
Jan. 6, 2017: Martha A. Snodgrass Leslie died near Merkel, TX, and is buried in White Church Cemetery there. Her grave is apparently unmarked.
Feb. 8, 2017: My source of info on the burial of M. A. Snodgrass is personal communication several years ago with a sister-in-law of George Leslie, Martha's son. This woman was the sister of George Leslie's wife and lived with George's family at the time of the burial and remembered it clearly.
