Mrs. Wm. Graham, whose home is two miles west of Alexis, left home with her eldest daughter Milly on Thursday evening, the 4th inst., on the excursion to Denver, where she was taken sick the second evening after her arrival with heart disease. Doctors were called but she died in a short time. Her husband was notified by wire, but her death occurred soon after the message was sent. The many friends of the family are awaiting the return of the body which will be interred at Norwood probably the 14th. I bade Mrs. Graham and her daughter good-by as they were going to the Santa Fe depot Thursday evening at Galesburg little thinking of such a sad return. - J. D. P.
