"Felix A. Gartin, an aged citizen, who lived alone 2 1/2 miles south of Raymondsville, was found dead last Sunday morning at his home by neighbors, and the physician pronounced the cause of death to be from carbolic acid, which was taken by suicidal intent. An inquiry was held by Esquire George McCubbins Sunday. The verdict of the jury being that death was self inflicted."
