JOHN W. GARTIN DIES AT 89; RITES FRIDAY
John William Gartin, 89, retired farmer and long time Lucas county resident, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, after a lingering illness, at Mrs. Evans Nursing Home.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Andy Morrett of Chariton, Mrs. Arthur Campbell of Derby and Mrs. Rolley Remster of Chugwater, Wyo., and five sons, Rex of Ogden, Utah, Dewey, Harley A. and John L., Chariton and Archie W. of Inglewood, Calif.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 11, at the Miley Chapel at 2 p.m. The Rev. A. E. Beals will officiate. Interment in the Sharon cemetery.
