Emma Minnie (Sealock) Cain the daughter of Caleb "Cale" Harrison Sealock & Elizabeth "Lizzie" Eleanor (Engle) Sealock.

Emma was born July 30,1885 in Noble County, Belle Valley, Ohio. (Emma was #8 of 11 children.)

On September 1, 1908 (in Noble County, Belle Valley, Ohio) Emma married Delmer Dellie" Reed Cain. Reverend A.K. McCall performed the ceremony.

Delmer and Emma had 11* children:

Religion & Music were an important part of this family. Her favorite Hymn was "Blessed Assurance". Her hobbies were reading stories to her children & teaching them that God is Love.

DEATH
Emma died in her sleep late one evening. Emma suffered with a heart condition and took medicine that cause her to have small seizures, about two years before she died. She was pronounced at 2:45am. leaving behind her husband and 10 children.

CAUSE OF DEATH: Sudden Heart Attack - Angina

SPECIAL NOTE
Emma's gravestone was created at a later date. When it was ordered and engraved, a mistake was made with the year. (Emma died in 1936 - but the gravestone was engraved 1935.) A human error - caused due to grief & loss.

Note: Death date on the gravestone is 1935.

Mrs. Emma Cain

Byesville, Feb. 21 - Mrs. Emma Cain, 50, wife of Delmer R. Cain, passed away at her home on Fifth street Friday morning 1:30 o'clock, following a sudden heart attack.

She is survived by her husband, five sons, Clifford, Jesse, Warren, Samuel and Ralph, all of the home, and five daughters, Mrs. Harold Jackson, of Middleport; Bernice, Pauline, Hazel and Esther of the home; three brothers and five sisters.

The body was removed to the Herlan Funeral Home where it will remain until Saturday morning and be taken to the home on Fifth street.

Funeral services will be held at the Hoskinsville M. E. church Sunday afternoon, 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Sams, pastor of the F. M. church of Byesville. Burial will be made in Hoskinsville cemetery.
