Edgar Ray Wogaman was born the son of Ella Pearl Martin Wogaman and Elsworth Wogaman in Muncie, Indiana, on May 30, 1907. The family moved to Iosco Co., MI, around 1910 and Edgar grew up with his sisters and parents, and his maternal grandparents were nearby. He worked most of his life for the US Gypsum company in Alabaster, MI. He married Leah Katherine "Kate" McGuire on Feb 17, 1930, and they had 10 children (one of whom, Evelyn, died at age 3 from burns after playing with matches). Edgar died in 1977.

Oscoda--Final rites for Edgar R. Wogaman, 70, who died Friday, were held Monday afternoon.

Born May 30, 1907, in Indiana, he married Leah McGuire in Tawas City February 17, 1930.

Survivors in addition to his wife include six sons and three daughters. Sons are Alfred of Tawas City, Kenneth of Lapeer, George of [East] Grand Forks, Minnesota, and Ralph, Charles and Art, all of Flint. Daughters surviving are Mrs. Joyce Colburn of Flushing, Mrs. Leah Commins of Panama City, Florida, and Mrs. Kathy Burkhead of Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

The Rev. Marshal McGuire officiated at the funeral which was held from the W. S. Bennett Funeral Home. Burial was in the Mikado Cemetery.
