Barbara Caroline is the daughter of David Coble and Barbara Ingold Coble. She is the eighth of fourteen children born to her parents, all in Guilford Co., NC. She also has four half-siblings born to her step-mother, Susan Best Coble. Caroline has two sons: Thomas Benton and James. James evidently died before the age of 11, for he was not on the 1870 census with her. Her family moved to Greene Co., MO in the early 1850s. Caroline married Lewis P. MaGee Jan. 10, 1881 and is probably buried beside him. MO Death Certificate
