Catherine was the daughter of John and Magdalena (Burkholder)Neff. She married John Aikman in 1831 in Ontario, Canada. Their children: Harriet, twins John and Alexander, Henry and William. The family moved to Iowa by 1840. In 1848, widowed, Catherine married widower, Emanuel Albright and they had one child, Lucius.
