KIRKLIN - John W. "Bede" Bogan, 72, died unexpectedly at 3 PM Friday, Jan. 27, 1978, in his rural Kirklin home, apparently of a heart attack. Born in Clinton County, he married Mildred Spurgeon in 1938; she survives.

Mr. Bogan retired from farming in 1974. He also was a bus driver for the Kirklin School Corp. for many years, and he was a member of Kirklin Christian Church.

Surviving with his widow are a daughter, Connie (Mrs. Dewayne) Miller of Frankfort; four sisters, Mrs. Wilma Crawford of Waugh, Mrs. Cosey Burgess of Kirklin, Opal Bogan of Sheridan, and Juanita Babb of Lebanon; and two brothers, Robert Bogan of Lebanon and Lloyd Bogan of Mechanicsburg.

Services for JOHN W. "BEDE" BOGAN, 72, Kirklin rt. 2, will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at Goodwin Funeral Home, Kirklin Chapel.

Mr. Bogan died unexpectedly at 3 p.m. Friday at home.

Born Dec 22, 1905 in Clinton County, he was the son of Elwood U. and Nora Louks Bogan. He was married Jan 22,1938 to Mildred Spurgeon and she survives.

Mr. Bogan was a retired farmer and former school bus driver for the Kirklin School Corp. He was a member of the Kirklin Christian Church.

Other survivors include one daughter, Connie Miller of Frankfort; four sisters, Wilma Crawford of Waugh, Mrs. Cosey Burgess of Kirklin, Opal Bogan of Sheridan, and Juanita Babb of Lebanon; two brothers, Robert of Lebanon and Lloyd of Mechanicsburg, and three grand children.

Rev. Robert London will officiated at services. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirklin. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today.
