1/12/06 to 12/14/02
Loyle W. Adams, age 96, passed away December 14, 2002 at St. Mark's Hospital, Salt Lake.
He was born to John Winfred Adams and Ivy Leona Freeman on Jan. 12, 1906 in American Fork, Utah. He was a wonderful husband and father, and left us many great memories. He made a heroic effort to live for his wonderful wife, Margaret, who survives him. She was the light of his life for more than 78 years, but his heart finally gave out.
Loyle worked through the depression years as a meat market manager, then after World War II, was with the US Post Office in the registry section. He was a member of the LDS Church. Loyle was very handy with tools, building his own house mainly by himself. He learned to do dental lab work at age 62, turning out many beautiful gold castings, and continued doing that for several years.
He was a good man, a man of honesty and integrity. We will all miss him.
He is survived by his wife Margaret, Salt Lake City; sister, Phyllis, St. George, UT; son Neal (Marilyn), Salt Lake City; son Jack (Marion), Long Beach, CA; daughter Ann Strong (Rick), Los Angeles, CA; 10 grandchildren (one deceased) and 12 great grandchildren (one deceased).
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 20, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, with a viewing one hour prior. Interment at Salt Lake City Cemetery.
