Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Daffron, 82, widow of the late F.M. Daffron, died at the home of her son here last Wednesday, September 2nd.
Funeral services were held at the Pine Grove Church in Clinton County on September 3, conducted by Rev. C.W. Simpson. Interment was in the Pine Grove Cemetery, with Pruitt Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Daffron had been in ill health for several months, and while her death was not unexpected, yet it came as a shock to the family.
Survivors include 11 children, Mrs Cora Weston of Jamestown, Mrs. Nora Bell and Mrs. Eula Bell of Watauga, Mrs. Alma Holder of Russell Springs, Mrs. Hulda Mann of Long Bottom, Mrs. Jessie York of Jamestown, Kyle, Arnold and Woodrow Daffron of Jamestown, Carley Daffron of New Castle,Indiana and Claude Daffron of Monticello. She also leaves 35 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Daffron professed faith in Christ at an early age and placed her membership with the Smith Bottom Methodist Church, and remained a faithful member until death called her. She was an affectionate wife and loving mother, who will be sadly missed. The sympathy of all goes out the the bereaved family.
