Jesse Lewis Riggleman, Sr., 71, of Broadway, VA died April 26, 2012 at his residence.

He was born May 26, 1940 in Tenth Legion, and was the son of the late Simon P. and Martha O. Bazzle Riggleman.

He worked at Cargill in Dayton before retiring. He was a member of Fairview Church of the Brethren.

On January 9, 1960 he married the former Janet Hottinger, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Wesley Riggleman and wife Leigh Ann of Harrisonburg, Jesse Riggleman, Jr. of Harrisonburg; one daughter, Betty Riggleman Carik and husband Scott of Harrisonburg; three grandchildren, Crystal Bradley of Memphis, TN, Craig Bradley of Harrisonburg, Holly Carik of Harrisonburg; one great grandchild, Raegen Carik of Harrisonburg; three brothers and one sister, Daniel Riggleman of Broadway, Rachel Smith of Harrisonburg, Durel Riggleman of Laurel, MD, Donald Riggleman of Broadway.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Leon Riggleman, Bobby Riggleman, Simon Riggleman, and a half brother; Alan Bazzle.

Rev. Lewis Armentrout and Pastor Glen Turner will conduct a funeral service 2 P.M. Saturday at Fairview Church of the Brethren near Endless Caverns.

Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7-8 P.M. at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
