Services for Roy Dixon, 60, were Friday, June 27, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Union Chapel Cemetery. He died Wednesday, June 25, at the home of his son. He was a victim of cancer.
He was survived by his wife of 42 years, Bernice Gaston Dixon; his son, Roger, of St. Louis, two grandchildren, six brothers, Everett of Cody, Wyo., Roscoe of Jefferson, Iowa, Marvin of Woodward, Iowa, Troy of Raymondville, Wayne of Eunice and Tilford of Houston; a sister Dorothy Stanley of Warrenton.
The son of Charles and Nora Dixon, he was born July 11, 1925, at Yukon. He moved to St. Louis to work in 1944 and retired in 1983 after 36 years of service to Valvoline Oil Co. He was living at Osage Beach.
