Mary Agnes Strickland Purvis, 88, of Effingham, SC, passed away on January 1, 2021. She will rejoin the love of her life, the late Jack Dempsey Purvis.
She was born to the late Elbert B. and Vera Lynch Strickland (Smith) on December 25, 1932.
She was preceded in death by her step-father, Clarence “Smitty” Smith; and brothers, Billy, Thomas, and Levon Strickland.
She enjoyed her life as a florist and wedding planner as the owner of United Wedding Designs. She was a member of Effingham Presbyterian Church. She was a beautiful designer of flowers and loved her close friends, family and neighborhood.
