Jack Dempsey Purvis, 75, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004.
Mr. Purvis was born March 22, 1929, in Florence, a son of the late Jessie Keith Purvis and Ruby Hicks Purvis. He was retired from the South Carolina Employment Security Commission in the Field Service Division. He was a member of the Effingham Presbyterian Church.
In his time with us, Mr. Purvis enjoyed his retired life with his many friends fishing in Georgetown. He volunteered time with his boat to the Sheriff Department™s Camp Pee Dee Pride. He was blessed with so many friends who loved him dearly.
