REBA SUE LOWERY, 55, of Barbourville, passed away Wednesday morning, April
24, 2002 at her home. She was a daughter of Ora Shelton Goodin and the late
Cephuas Goodin, born on Feb. 1, 1947 in Knox County. Ms. Lowery was a
homemaker and a member of the Living Waters Pentecostal Church. She united in
marriage with Tip Jackson in 1962 and to this union two children were born.
In 1977, she united in marriage with William Lowery and to this union one
child was born.
Survivors include her mother, Ora Shelton Goodin of Gird1er; three children,
Phyllis Jackson Long and husband, David, of Berea, Elizabeth Jenell Jackson
Grimes of Richmond and William Cephuas Lowery and wife, Mindy, of Artemus;
three sisters, Buellia Marie Brewer and husband, Sam, of London, Oma Lou
Lawson and husband, Dearl, of Girdler and Clara Jean Brewer of Girdler, two
brothers, James Ben Goodin and wife, Debra, of Berea and Cephuas Goodin Jr.
and wife, Janie, of Georgetown; seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home
Saturday, April 27 with the Rev. Bobby Epperson, the Rev. Owen Smith and the
Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating. Ms. Lowery was laid to rest in the Shelton
Family Cemetery at Girdler.
Knox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
