James Ben "J.B." Goodin, 64, of Berea, the widower of Deborah Ann Gooch Goodin, passed away Thursday evening at The St. Joseph Hospital in Berea.
Mr. Goodin was born on May 25, 1945 in Knox County, the son of the late Cephus and Ora Shelton Goodin. He was a member of the Blue Lick Holiness Church.
Survivors include his daughter: Hope Deon Goodin; one brother: Cephus Goodin Jr., (Janice) of Georgetown; three sisters: Buella Marie Brewer (Sam) of London and Clara Jean Brewer and Oma Lou Lawson (Dearl) both of Knox County; two aunts: Cora Baker (Lloyd) of Kirksville and Florence Frazier of Knox County; four sisters-in-law: Joan Shelton (Michael), Irene Shelton (Wesley), Vickie Lester (David) and Kathleen Roberts (Roy); two brothers-in-law: Elbert Gooch (Malinda) and Lester Gooch (Pam) and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a daughter: Heather Renae Goodin; three sisters: Reba Sue Lowery, Dorothy Jeanette Goodin and Brenda Nadine Goodin.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:30 PM Sunday at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, 328 West Main Street, Richmond. Burial will follow in the Gooch Family Cemetery at Dreyfus.
Visitation will be after 4:00 PM Saturday at the Combs, Parsons & Collins funeral home.
